Brian (new owner) , I am SO HAPPY that you are close to me!!!! If anyone is looking for a class act, trustworthy shop, look no further. If you don't believe me, go check out the reviews at the shop Brian came from after nearly 10 years of employment, Steve's Auto Care in El Cerrito. High praises, great shop and he is mentioned in multiple reviews. I recently moved from Oakland and as a customer at Steve's since 2003, it was sad, but just too far away. I called late last year to ask Brian if he knew of any local shops in the area and he was nice enough to get back to me with the name of a shop. This place was decent, I went there twice, but I was so sad that I could not keep going to the shop I had gone to for nearly 20 years. I called Steve's to see if they were open on Saturdays again (they stopped because of Covid). I asked for Brian and was told that he no longer worked there, he had his own shop. He said he would give me the info if I had a pen....of course I wanted to know where he was! I was SO excited when he said Newark!! Brian doesn't make you feel like you are dumb if you don't know about cars. He doesn't give off bad vibes like he is trying to see how much he can get out of you. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Brian for nearly 10 years. When I would call and say my name, he knew who I was and what car I had. He knows what he is talking about and makes you feel at ease. He is a gem and I have no doubt that he will do well. I for one can be considered a customer for as long as he is in business. If you are looking for a mechanic and you are near Newark, this is definitely a shop you should check out. Brian knows what he is doing and couldn't be a nicer guy!! Did I mention how excited I am that I once again have a mechanic near me that will get the next 20+ years of my business?!?!?!
